Mr. Eberle is one of the teachers added to the language department arsenal in the past few years. He is originally from Maine and attended college at The University of Puget Sound, “a beautiful liberal arts school overlooking the Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA.”

This is Eberle’s sixth year of teaching, as he came from the Rumsey Hall School in CT. Before that he worked at the Park School in Brookline, MA. During his summers he has taught English at Wolfeboro, a summer boarding school.

Eberle teaches several levels of Latin in both the upper and middle school. In the classroom Eberle is very energetic as his teaching style is full of lessons that are easy to follow and enjoyable. Many of his students say that his class is one that is always worth going to and that they are always happy to know that his class is the following block.

Eberle lives in Ford Hall with his dog Frankie. He serves as a dorm parent and is on duty every Tuesday.

Chris Espinal, a senior in Ford Hall thinks that Eberle is, “a great guy with a great sense of style and a great sense of humor. He brings laughs to the dorm whenever someone has a bad day or game.”

Besides being a dorm parent and a teacher in the language department, Eberle coaches several sports for Williston such as JV boys soccer, Boys Varsity Skiing, and Ultimate Frisbee.

On the field or mountain, Eberle is very passionate about his players as a coach. He always wants to see his team succeed and work as a unit rather than have his teams win but be unhappy that not everyone got to play.

In the spring you can always find Eberle playing pick up Ultimate Frisbee with Roe every Tuesday afternoon. But if you do come to pick up Ultimate, do not be surprised by the competitive nature that comes along with playing with Eberle.

One thing that most people don’t know about Eberle is that, “Growing up on the coast of Maine, my buddies and I would surf all year including paddling out in snow storms during winter break.”

Eberle cannot live without is his Birkenstocks. In the dorm, he is always wearing them, and he claims that he was the first person at Williston to do so. Thus he is very proud of his discovery.

Eberle is an energetic teacher who can bring a smile to almost any student who is having a bad day. Williston is lucky to have him as a teacher, dorm parent, and coach.
