Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift Spark Dating Rumors

Travis+Kelce+and+Taylor+Swift+Spark+Dating+Rumors

Even though Taylor Swift is in her “1989” era, recently she has been seen wearing Kansas City “red.”

Swift, 33, who has become one of the most socially influential women in the world, has been seen with Travis Kelce, the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, from Cleveland Heights, Ohio.

During the Era’s Tour, Kelce, 34, was seen attending the show, and allegedly gave Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number. A typical tradition at the Eras Tour is fans make friendship bracelets and trade them with other fans. Fans went crazy after this, because Kelce has admitted that his celebrity crush used to be Swift. No one thought the rumors were true until Sunday, September 24, when Swift made an appearance at Arrowhead stadium, but was not there for “The Eras Tour” as she had been a few short months ago.

Throughout the 2000’s Swift has had many love affairs that keep her fans on her toes. After the April breakup with her six-year boyfriend, British actor Joe Alwyn, fans were devastated for weeks after the news.

David Koritkoski, the Swift-obsessed Dean of Students, has been keeping up with Swift and Kelce’s relationship because “it is hard not to follow,” he said. “It’s everywhere.”

Koritkoski is “jealous” of their relationship because of their ability to “handle the moment,” he said.

Although it is an interesting match, Coach Koritkoski is “not sure it will actually go anywhere,” because of both Swift’s and Kelce’s fame.

Despite Koritkoski’s doubts, it is “fascinating that the last Sunday Night Football game was the most watched football game other than the Super Bowl,” he said. “That’s all you need to know about how popular Taylor Swift is.”

Hudson Fulcher-Melendy, a senior football player from Easthampton Mass., believes Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce trying to date is “a cool dynamic,” he said.

Hudson is a huge fan of Kelce because he is “arguably the best tight end of all time,” he said. “Plus, I do not think he is a bad guy based on what I have seen of him,” Hudson said.

Although Hudson and others are fans of Travis Kelce, some “Swifties” need to see Kelce’s and Swift’s relationship last before trusting him.

Maggie Fay, a junior from Easthampton, Mass.,, is a massive fan of Swift, and thinks “they’re cute together but I also just do not know much about him,” she said. “I need it to like last a bit before I can make a fair assessment of him.”

Kat Mayer, a sophomore from Messena, New York, thinks the relationship between Kelce and Swift is the best one she has seen in a while.

Kat compliments Swift with high regards but does not think Kelce is the best guy off the football field.

“I like Travis as a football player, but I’ve heard he’s a player off the fields,” she said. “But mad respect to Swift as a person,” Kat said. “Number one female entertainer!”

Kat may be referring to Kelce’s past relationships. He starred on a dating show in 2016, “Catching Kelce,” where 50 women competed to date him. The winner of the show, Maya Benberry, only dated Kelce for a few months, and “he was more motivated by the money that came along with it,” according to Sporting News.

Jokingly, Kat said the Swift/Kelce relationship is “the best relationship since ‘90 Day Fiancé.’”

Recently, Kelce has expressed that the NFL is “‘overdoing it a little bit for sure,’” Kelce said on this week’s episode of New Heights, the Kelce Brother’s podcast. He hosts the podcast with his brother, Jason, who plays center for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Some people think that the NFL posts about Swift too much, but they disagree.

“The Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce news has been a pop cultural moment we’ve leaned into in real time, as it’s an intersection of sport and entertainment, and we’ve seen an incredible amount of positivity around the sport’” the NFL said according to NBC Sports.

Natalie Stott, a 2022 graduate who now attends Amherst College, is one of the biggest Swifties ever to exist, and wants her idol to be happy.

“If Travis can make her happy, I am all for it,” she said. “He seems like a nice, genuine guy and she seems to be having a great time at his games, so I love that for her.”

Natalie is supportive of Kelce’s habits of showing how much he likes her on social media, “which is something Joe Alwyn never did, so I already like him a lot,” she said.
