Sienna Mae Gomez, a TikTok star, has recently faced sexual assault allegations against her childhood friend and fellow Hype House member, Jack Wright.

Wright and Gomez both found their platforms on TikTok and gained most of their fame through posting videos and living in a house in Los Angeles full of other social media influencers called the Hype House. Though they were rumored to be dating after posting multiple videos picturing them kissing, cuddling, and dancing, it was never confirmed. After the allegations went public, Wright confirmed it was all a publicity stunt.

Wright’s friends and family were the first to accuse Gomez of crossing consent boundaries and being verbally abusive and toxic.

Mason Rizzo, Wright’s friend, was the first to tweet about their relationship.

“I struggle with seeing a girl getting praised after telling my best friend to kill himself and sexually assaulting him numerous times after he set boundaries and then repeatedly wonder why ‘he doesn’t like you back,’” he said. “You guys all deserve to know the truth about her.”

Gomez denied all allegations and has yet to change her stance on the matter.

Lachlan Hannemann, a witness to one situation of assault, recorded Gomez sitting on Wright’s lap and kissing him with her hand on his groin while he appeared to be unconscious and unresponsive.

He posted this video on TikTok, and it gained a lot of traction, causing Gomez to lose one million followers since the video aired. Though Hannemann eventually took it down, many viewers saved the video and have been recirculating it throughout many social media platforms.

In rebuttal, Gomez claimed Wright was fully aware of the situation and the video was edited.

Gomez said, “If he was unconscious, why did his arm move when you got up, and also, why was he kissing me back?”

The allegations against Gomez did not only affect her following, however. She was supposed to star in a Netflix original docuseries picturing the intimate lives of the members of the Hype House, the house her and Wright both lived in.

However, Gomez was seen only in the background of a party shot in episode one and then never again. This is rumored to be because of her allegations, though Netflix has not come forward with an explanation.

Even after he was served with multiple cease and desist letters, Wright refuses to be silent.

On January 11, Wright posted on TikTok a video with the caption, “can’t [sic] stay quiet anymore especially when other guys in LA told me what she did to them as well. i’m [sic] done being gaslighted and silenced. y’all [sic] deserve to know. please give me a little more time but please know that i’ve [sic] had love and support through all this from family, friends, and all of you online.”

This was the first time Wright directly corroborated the allegations, causing Gomez to get major backlash on all social media platforms.

There are TikTok trends going around labeling Gomez as “a borderline sex offender” and edits of old videos highlighting the tense energy between her and Wright. The hate got so severe that Gomez turned off the comments to all her Tiktok videos and limited the number of comments on her Instagram posts to just those supporting her. She deleted all photos picturing Wirght and has officially earned the title of “canceled”.

With sexual assault against men being so stigmatized and rarely talked about, it is significant that Jack Wright is coming forward with his story, making it public and encouraging others to hold their abusers accountable as well.
