The first ever 7-Brew Coffee location in Massachusetts is set to open in early November. Although it will be a busy site, it will be a comforting experience for boarders who are from the Midwest.

This popular brand, focused on its fast-paced drive through and friendly staff, will open its first Massachusetts location on Riverdale St. in West Springfield. In New England, we are used to Dunkin’ and Starbucks, but 7- Brew’s coffee will change the game for energy drink and coffee lovers around. There are around 500 7-Brew locations. Based in Arkansas, the company is starting to expand to the east coast, and already has locations Connecticut. This is only the second state in New England to open 7 Brew stores.

Acacia Nickeo, a boarder from Hartford, Conn., is excited for the possibility of adding a new destination for weekend shuttles.

“I hope that we can get 7 Brew on our weekend shuttles, I’ve wanted to try it!” she said.

Acacia also thinks that boarders would be interested in the shuttles rather than using DoorDash or Uber Eats.

“I think that people will occasionally have 7 Brew delivered, but it gets expensive after a while,” she said. “That’s why I think shuttles would be best.”

Kora Brissett, a junior boarder from Sunderland, Mass., is excited to try 7 Brew for the first time.

“I’ve never heard of 7 Brew before, but now that I know about it, I would like to see what it’s about and why it’s so popular out west,” she said.

Kora suggested the idea of a Crumbl and 7 Brew shuttle for boarders on the weekends.

“I think that a bunch of students on campus would want to try something new, like a dual Crumbl Cookie and 7 Brew shuttle,” she said. “DoorDash could also be a possibility, but for now I think it should be a shuttle, so we can get a group to go first and then if it’s popular, I think DoorDashing could be good.”

Mia Shaw, a sophomore day student, would like to try it before classes somedays.

“I’ve heard really good things about it on TikTok, including their huge menu” she said. “Even though it is out of the way to school, I’d like to stop by at some point and try it.”

This brand’s fame even in the East Coast can be attributed to social media. TikTok trends show the process of getting hired for the job of a 7 Brew worker. There is a test you must take to know the drinks in order to become hired, called the Brewista Test, a 60 multiple choice question test with a time limit of 90 minutes, covering scoops and fill lines, drink recipes, equipment operation, customer service, and drink temperatures. Most Brewistas in the making use Quizlet and other study tools to pass. 7- Brew offers seven original drinks but there are nearly 20,000 possible flavor combinations, and this customizable menu is a reason why people love 7- Brew so much.

In a TikTok posted on July 24, 2025, by Evelyn Joy, she says she “studied harder [for the Brewista test] than for school.”

MassLive explained that the company is “in the process of hiring 70 workers before an anticipated opening in early November,” as well as “getting a location approved in Hadley, near the Whole Foods location on Route 9.”
