2016 Nobel Prize announced- let’s meet the winners!

On October 10, the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences 2016 was announced to be shared by Oliver Hart and Bengt Holmstrom in honor of “their contributions to contract theory.”

Previously, the Nobel Prize in Physics 2016 went to David J. Thouless, F. Duncan M. Haldane, and J. Michael Kosterlitz “for theoretical discoveries of topological phase transitions and topological phases matter.”

The Nobel Prize in Chemistry went to Jean-Pierre Sauvage, Sir J. Fraser Stoddart, and Bernard L. Feringa “for the design and synthesis of molecular machines.”

The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 2016 went to Yoshinori Ohsumi “for his discoveries of mechanisms for autophagy.”

The Nobel Peace Prize 2016 went to Juan Manuel Santos “for his resolute efforts to bring the country’s more than 50-year-long civil war to an end.”

The Nobel Prize in Literature 2016 was announced as well; the honor went to musician Bob Dylan.

Russian military seems to be increasing its arsenal of inflatable tanks

Recently, the Russian military seems to have become very interested in a new weapon. Consisting of fabrics and air compressors, the weapons are inflatable balloons that can be transformed into different shapes of jets, tanks, and missile launchers. The sudden transformation can easily confuse opponents about the actual size of the Russian military’s size and power.
